Available puppies

We offer fully trained, non-shedding hypoallergenic standard doodles. Occasionally, we have other breeds available.

We only work with a few breeders that are reputable and understand our program needs. Usually, we rely on our trusted partner’s experience to handpick the best puppies to fit our program. The selection is based on the puppy’s temperament and disposition to complete training.

Most of our puppies have parents that have been genetically tested or OFA tested. We may bring a puppy to our program whose parents are not tested. If that is the case, we do the testing ourselves. We use EMBARK for genetic testing and PennHip for hip dysplasia at 16 weeks.

It is vital to mention that it is always best to have parents tested for diseases. However, it is not guaranteed that the puppy will not develop health conditions.

We offer 3 levels of training for family-companion dogs.

LEVEL 1

FOUNDATION SKILLS

Level 1 teaches your dog how fun it can be to follow commands and lays the groundwork for critical skills in developing a well-mannered canine companion.

  • Basic potty training: the puppy will have a potty schedule and be monitored. It should help achieve an accident-free environment when the program is followed, avoiding much of the initial stress of owning a puppy.
  • Walk on a leash:  the puppy will allow a leash or harness to be put on and walk. Depending on the puppy’s development, the heel can also be introduced.
  • Obedience command’s introduction
    • Come
    • Sit
    • Stay
    • Down
    • No
    • Off
  • Socialization with other dogs and kids. And comfortable in being petted.
  • Gentle introduction to some distractions and noises: vacuum cleaners, blow dryer, blender, traffic sounds.
  • Correction if the puppy demonstrates early stages of resource guarding.

By completing Level 1 training, the puppy would be ready to pass the AKC S.T.A.R PROGRAM Test, and often, the puppy will already display some of the behaviors necessary to pass the AKC GCG Test. Click here to learn more about this AKC Certification.

This training will take 2 to 4 weeks, depending on the puppy’s age.

LEVEL 2

SKILL BUILDING & RELIABILITY

During Level 2 training, we’ll continue developing the skills the puppy learned in Level 1 and introducing more challenging training exercises.

  • Potty training reinforcement: The puppy may be around 95% trained when completing this level, depending on the puppy’s age.
  • House manners
  • Walk on a looser leash.
  • Car rides
  • Obedience command’s reliability:

  • Additional commands

  • Introduction to door training to ensure the puppy does not run outside when the door opens.
  • Continuation of socialization with other dogs and kids.
  • Increasing distractions as they get exposed to louder noises, crowds, and different environments. Off-site training takes place to ensure the puppy is acclimated to different environments.

By the end of level 2, most puppies meet all the requirements to pass the test to obtain the AKC GOOD CANINE CITIZEN CERTIFICATION.

This training will take 3 to 6 weeks, depending on the puppy’s age.

LEVEL 3

ADVANCED SKILLS

The puppy has a solid foundation and mastered many obedience commands by now. In Level 3, we will be polishing the puppy behaviors as gentle play, jumping on strangers, and responding to obedience commands despite distractions. We prepare the puppy to take the AKC Canine Good Citizen test during this stage, which is the first step to becoming an emotional support, therapy, or service dog.

  • Fully potty trained
  • Housebroken
  • Proficient in obedience commands
  • Settling and remaining on a mat for more extended periods
  • Walking on a loose leash past a difficult distraction (like other people or dogs)
  • Responding to “Come” despite distraction (a toy, another dog, or person)
  • Waiting at a door
  • Nipping and rough play are also corrected.

Upon completing this stage, the puppy should pass the ten areas tested by AKC for the Canine Good Citizen Test and should be ready to start public access training.

BOARDING & TRAINING

We will assess your puppy to understand which areas the puppy needs the most help in.

The minimum board and train time is two weeks at $750 per week.

You can visit your puppy during the weekends, and we will send you pictures and videos to update you on your puppy’s progress.

  • We haven't had a dog for a long time (over 20 years) and felt like it was time. We searched for the right type of dogs and how to bring a dog into our household. Decided on a doodle. We spoke to several breeder/trainers and luckily found Train My Doodle.   • I could not more highly recommend the adoption of a trained puppy from TrainMyDoodle! The adoption process was seamless from inquiry to the delivery of my beautiful puppy thanks to Karina’s love and dedication.   • I selected Karina after looking at several trainers and breeders because of the small size of her operation and i could tell that she genuinely cared for these puppies! My pup has been traveling with me all over the east coast for work and he has been very well behaved.
